Poetry

Poetry is the crux of the site, the kernel from where all else spreads, from this page you can browse the poetry and open the pamphlets to download or read on line.

To seek a definition of poetry may itself bring as many reflections as the ways in which the poetry might be written, or the chosen subject matter for the poetry; this site sets out with no agenda on poetic style or content, boundaries if any are purely in the publishers mind, we simply wish to print poetry that is appropriate for publication to an audience who we would welcome as our own kith and kin.

Poetry arises in all manner of places and guises, not only do we like to read and write poetry, we also have a thirst to hear what the poetry creators used for their inspirations, here are two such:

Sorrow happens, hardship happens, the hell with it, who never knew the price of happiness, will not be happy.
Yevgeny Yevtushenko

A man would do well to carry a pencil in his pocket and write down the thoughts of the moment. Those that come unsought are commonly the most valuable and should be secured, they seldom return.
Francis Bacon

Poetry is alive and kicking at this point in time, your poetry will be a fine and valuable contribution to this most wonderful art form, to this mature yet at the same time youthful distraction.

If you are a poet who seeks motivation to write hopefully the site contributes to that, our only direct advice is to start, start writing, start to put together a submission, start, and start now.
